Planting Sweet Corn

After the rows have been tilled and shaped, Jake sows corn seed by pulling a planter attachment behind his tractor. This special piece of machinery plants corn seeds down the middle of each row, exactly 6” apart. The steep rows that Ramon built help the seeds to stay in place during rainy weather and the furrows (ditches between each row) help to capture the water as irrigation.

Did you know we plant sweet corn every week now through July? That’s how we provide perfectly ripe, daily-picked sweet corn 6 days a week from July – October! Can you wait until summer to sink your teeth into some of our famous sweet corn??
